Commercial Kitchen Fire Suppression in Sussex

Planned design, installation and annual servicing across East and West Sussex.

Fire suppression is planned work rather than a callout. A system is surveyed, designed, installed and then serviced on a schedule, all of it booked in advance, which is why we deliver it across counties we would not send an emergency engineer to at an hour’s notice. Sussex is one of those counties: we route engineers south around London for scheduled installation and annual servicing.

Being straight about it, distance matters far less for suppression than it does for a broken fridge. What matters is that the survey is thorough, the design matches your cooking line, and the annual service actually happens on time. All three are planned, so a Sussex kitchen gets the same job as a Hertfordshire one.

We work with the county’s full range of operators: seafront restaurants and hotels in Brighton and Hove, coastal and seasonal trade along the Eastbourne, Worthing and Hastings fronts, the hotel and volume catering cluster around Gatwick and Crawley, and the pubs, country hotels, schools and care homes inland.

Coverage

East and West Sussex towns we cover

Sussex splits into two quite different jobs. The Gatwick and Crawley corridor runs hotel and volume catering to airport schedules, where a suppression service has to be slotted into a kitchen that never really stops. The coast is the opposite problem: seasonal sites that go from quiet to flat out and back again, where the annual service belongs firmly outside the season rather than in the middle of it.

What We Install

Ansul-compatible wet chemical suppression

The same system and service described in full on our main fire suppression page, delivered locally.

Designed to your cooking line

Nozzles are positioned for the appliances you actually run, with coverage across fryers, ranges, chargrills and griddles plus the canopy and ductwork above them.

Gas and power cut on activation

When the system discharges it simultaneously shuts off the gas and electrical supplies to the cooking equipment, so the heat source is removed rather than just suppressed.

Serviced and documented annually

Annual servicing at minimum, installed to meet insurer requirements, with documentation left after every visit for your records and your insurer.

For the full detail on how the system works, what it protects and what servicing involves, see our commercial kitchen fire suppression page. Kitchens in Sussex often pair it with extract and ductwork cleaning and gas safety inspections.

Common Questions

Fire suppression in Sussex

For fire suppression, yes, and we would rather explain why than just assert it. Suppression is planned work: survey, design, installation, then annual servicing, all booked in advance. None of it depends on being twenty minutes away. We route engineers south around London for scheduled Sussex visits. We would not claim same-day breakdown attendance in Sussex, because that is a different promise and we do not make it.
